# Finance Book
A company can maintain multiple finance books at the same time to fulfill statutory as well as business intelligence reporting. In EPPNext, you can create multiple finance books for a company.
For example, a comoany can have main financial statements being maintained as per the statutory requirements of country. But can also have alternate books of accounts which presents financial standing in a better suited format, and assist in mangement analysis.
Another use-case is about depreciating asset. In India, the clauses for the asset depreciation is different in the Company Act and Income Tax Act. Hence, companies require to schedule asset depreciation based on each act. separately.
